so ive been checking out theses baja warrior/heat's and i like how they look, today on CL i saw an add that said running stock baja warrior for running go kart, my go kart runs, and i dont use it much anymore and dont have the time to rebuild it nor the money, so he asked for pics which i sent, he said as long as it ran he would be intrested so i thought hey, this might be extremley good, so buisness got under way and i texted him possibly the best picture ive ever taken of the go kart, he then told me it was a peice of **** and that he wouldnt even sit down on that, like wtf? its rideable and it runs, he said nothing about condition and that almost anything to drove would do, and then he tells me its a peice of ****? i swear people thesse days

he only asked for the picture of front and frame and asked info on the engine. i said it was a 6.5hp clone with an rlv mini muffler and small bsp power pipe, no governor and throttle linkage set up, like new max torque clutch and billet air filter adaptor. i also stated this was taken with my bad cell phone which messed up the color a bit, but does run, and ride, and yeah theres some leaves on the floor pan, it was windy, and if you want to see it ****ty look at it before i got some work put into it

Lol. jk. its a nice kart. if you really want iit to sell now that you have that grinder spend a day making everything look nice, go find an old couch at the end of your street and take some cushions from it. with the help of a nail gun you can make a pretty decent seat. Paint it up nice, get everything working good. Paint the frame one color, and the floor pan a different color and all the little details a different color. EX. paint the fraame ( like the tubes etc) red or blue or green or whatever and then paint the floorpan black, also paint the wheels black, the tierods black, the spindles black, the pedals black, then itll sell for good money.

Look i paid 10 bucks for this kart.

and after some work.... i got 100 for it.

No back wheels or engine or nothing. lol just some HF wheels that i had so i threw them on the front to make it more appealing

my main problem is A, the steering problem, i have not the time nor money to fix this, and my second problem is that i want to have at least 2 riding toys, because my little 10 year old little brother, even tho we fight terribly at times, is starting to see interest in small engines and mini bikes/ go karts and is often my little helper. and id love one day to just get up and say lets go riding and take off with him, the manco is good for him, but my mom dosent want him on it after all the **** its done to me, i really want to sell it and get this warrior im looking at, and then since hes JUST starting, i want to wait and get him a doodle bug, since you can get full assemble yourself kits at our local store for possibly 300 and its brand new, id love to build one with him and have it be something we built together and he can ride. and also our town dosent have that big a market for thesse things

The problem with a majority of new kart users or the uneducated in the world of karting really tends to be what they think a kart is. Most of those gents think karts are those 150cc buggies.

My Craigslist has an absolutely horrendous rate of people responding to whatever you do. Post something, they call you, waste your time, and never show up. Email someone about something they're selling and you'll never hear back again.

The kart itself doesn't look bad from an engineering standpoint, but the 2x8 seat you have on there would definitely make me double check for any poor jury rigs on it.

i know the seat, the steering looks ****ty, and the throttle linkage is homemade, but you can get it wide open, better seats could be added, and diffrent spindels would make the steering better

haha i think i actually have had the opposite experience than you kendel. first thing i bought (kart) the guy was so happy i was going to fix it up and get it running, and that im a kid and i weld and build other stuff, that he sold it to me for $50 instead of $75. i handed him $75 and he GAVE ME BACK $25. thats great!

second experience was my baja warrior. he was this old guy in Massachusetts who had a yard full of tractors and cars and stuff..... he wanted $275 and thats what he got. cool guy he had a lot of stories.

next was my sears LT 1036 tractor. it was literally down the street.... so yeah i thought he wanted 100 for it but that was a different one i guess.. i offered 80 and he said he originally wanted 150 but that he will take the 80 with some yard work. so i took the tractor (he actually drove it in his truck to my house!) and helped me unload it and everything. gave me the manuals and a free attachment for the snow thrower that i didnt even know i was getting. so i helped him with the bricks he wanted me to move for yard work, took a few hours, he gave me root beer and i helped him take a look at his mower that wasnt shifting. and he wrote down my number so any time he gets junk small engines or equipment he calls me and asks if i want it. sweet!

the next craigslist experience was a old mower deck for $10. told him it was a long drive and he offered to meet halfway! and remember hes only getting $10 for this thing... i was planning on tipping him... so i get to the gas station and he is there already. i handed him $20 and he refused any money at all. he said im a kid, as long as i keep the deck outta the land fill its free. SWEET.

well the first craigslist transaction was actually my grandma getting me this manco for 200 with a **** tecumseh, then she baught a 109 dollar brand new carb, that took a **** and then the motor finally died and not knowing much then, i just used some her parts and threw the rest away, i actually got this kart for 150 or somthing off some guy when i was going for yard sales, seemed fine, was a mess, checked head gasket and broke a head bolt, thats when i sold the tecumseh off of it for 30 because the dude was just usuing it for parts, he was a cool guy, buisness went well, i then figured i wanted a warrior and this happened, but its all cool because my little bro is getting my mini bike for the price of the clutch cover and for christmas with a little bit of the money i *****ed in we planned to get a brand new moped and my papers/insurance and moped license, which even tho people complain there not cool, is a plus for me because they get good gas mileage and its nice to be able to ride out to a friends house and see my friends for a while, also cool to be able to go to all the local hangouts without having to be dropped off, so in a way everything worked out
