its nothing new me and kaptain krunch have done it. i've put speakers on almost anything from a scooter to a soap box.

We've got a river here that 1000's of people float down on inner tubes during summer weekends. Quite a few people have built big thumping systems on big truck inner tubes and they float-em down partying all the way.

haven't actually put a sound system in a kart/ mower, but I did fit a speaker an amp inside a book, and a whole car headunit and speakers in my backpack.

Pair of computer speakers rigged to run off my karts battery and mp3 player are enough. I'm building a new instrument panel for my kart and might integrate speakers into it and a dock for my mp3 player.

You need something louder than computer speakers if you wanna drown out the sound of your engine, besides computer speakers side like chit. I may fit a head unit and some speakers in my kart, but that 400 twin is a bit on the loud side to be listening to music.
