My 7 year old grew out of his 940z - so for this Christmas, we threw a 212 on the frame. It’s SUPER unstable as it is right now due to the short wheelbase and reusing the “steering rack” that it came with. I guess you could say it’s just in testing phase right now. Just thought I’d share some pics of the insanity.

There was some discussion here before about the advantages or not of front width being a little wider/narrower than rear for stability. One thing everybody agreed on was that the wider you make it overall, the more resistant to rollover that it'll be.
Lengthen and widen it to increase stability.
I can't picture the physics in my head right now of extra length creating extra stability, but I've come to trust the opinions of the experienced here.

Simple Mad. As long as you have to modify the width, you might as well make it longer too. The kid ain’t gonna stop growing.
Somewhere there is a formula for length and width.

True about growing kids, and they'll likely still enjoy riding when they're full grown. Guess that's what factory seat sliders are about.
A simultaneous extension of frame length while modifying width makes good sense, regardless of the stability factor. Anybody ever make adjustable gas/brake pedals for the Tom Thumb/Shaquille O'Neil range? Go big now, or be wishing you'd done it later on.

Oops, what was I thinking? Having both a seat slider and a telescoping steering wheel would keep fixed pedals accessible to all without having the wheel up against your chest.
