16 inch tires? might want a 72 tooth sprocket, thats what my bike came with from factory,

im not trying to hate but all your posts are things easily observed

Im a mechanical engineer and do this in my free time to keep my mind and hands busy. I am using a 60T rebored steel sprocket. comet30 tav and 10t gear. plenty of torque and tops out right at 30mph.

I am kind of a purest and when I saw what you had originally planned, I was like wait...But, that looks good with the spoked rims.
So, you selling the old rims for..you can pm me if you would like.
The kid is learning.

TEST RIDE WAS GREAT SUCCESS!!

got the sprocket on the wheel and everything on (besides brakes :/ lol)

there happens to be a radar sign aka top speed checker thing in my neighborhood so i let it rip.

Governed at 3600 it still tops out at 39mph, and I weigh 200lbs. got there pretty quick too.

Ive been bidding on a few used torque converters but dam idiots keep bidding up to the cost of a new one over $200+shipping (which completely blows my mind). Anyway, im going to make a new bracket for my rm250 caliper setup and get it on there. Plus i'll ordering a gtc converter when my race kart sells today.

More pics and videos to be taken this evening

UPDATE

Got a comet 30series on there and holy crap does it make a difference.

im running 12T on the converter with the 60t rear and it wheelies any time you yank the throttle all the way up to 25 then tops out at around 40.

The brakes are being a pain in the ***.

bought a new lever, cable, and ferrels from northern and stuck with two problems.
-Doesnt stop as well as i want.
-you have to push the lever the rest of the way back to the open position after braking to prevent drag.

Im thinking of just going to foot brake dirtbike style.

i finished it at 8am yesterday. rode it, took a video and some pics, posted them at 1030 and a guy made me an offer. Then he drove from baltimore, MD to Virginia Beach, VA and bought it for $600 at 3pm. That was the craziest day ever holy crap.

and thanks for the compliments, ill post the video here shortly

Sold that fast, eh? I guess that only leaves one question.

What's next?

i cant decide. my golf cart buggy thingy build needs to get rolling and im thinking about a more budget built mini bike this time. something in the $100 15mph range

Good lord, that thing looked fast. I'm surprised you let it go for that cheap, those parts add up fast.

i winded it out on the main road and was staying with traffic at 45.
