Hello guys

I´m a portuguese student of engineerings and, as a summer project I´m interested in build a racing kart like the ones we see in the racing tracks. So... do you have any good plans, with all the measures and other informations?

Thank you all

hey, your best bet would be to look through your local ads for a rolling chassis and get a engine and use that. Unless you have a alright skill of how to weld, and have many of the tools needed to build a chassis from scratch, it will be very difficult - let alone expensive. best bet is to get a rolling chassis since you get almost all your parts - except an engine.

Did you not see the bit about him being an engineering student? Building the chassis is the important part

IMHO, you will find it very difficult to find plans or specs for a racing chassis unless someone here is willing to give you the specs off thier kart. There are one or two members who have them so just wait, they should post soon

Welcome to the forum BrunoAlb. Have a look through the Helpfull links sticky in the FAQ section of the forum. I think there are a few links to free plans there

If he doesn't post directly on this thread, send a private message to anderkart. He can give you some measurements from his kart. Once you have those measurements you should be able to figure out the rest. Also try searching the forum.

I have Anderkart's image with specs saved somewhere... Now, can I find it? If I do before he sees this, I'll be sure to add it here. IIRC, it's an older Birel frame.

EDIT: It's a Biesse frame, and I found the photo in his uploads on his profile page.
