Well guys getting back into dirt karting and a few things changed since last time I raced. Flatheads were top 5 years ago. Now the clone has taken over. Rules much tighter for the average person to build a motor.
So to start I bought an 03 phantom nemesis at the end of last year with a bone stock clone. Took it out at the end of last year and found that the motor needed a lot of attention.
No fast forward. Had a converstation with the guys at dover and bought a good bunch of parts.
The engine breakdown:
Basic Clone motor
Dover cam kit with lifters and valve springs
Stainless pushrods
Holy moses carb
Arc 6619 aluminum flywheel
Performance cast rod
Already has header, top plate and such
Going to cc the combustion chamber to the rules and mod accordingly
Waiting on a set of telescoping gauges to start building. Will post more pics once I get started.
