Race Number for the Bugatti

Although not exactly a major technical achievement I was able to get some time together and hand paint a racing number to add to the vintage racer look of the Bugatti this past week:

I did both sides and am pretty pleased with it. I know for a fact this thing is going to get destroyed so I have to be careful not to put too much into it right?

Next I think will be reassembly (exhaust, etc.) and some thoughts on a plexi-glass wind screen. Any suggestions?

that would be cool just take plexi and heat it around something with a heat gun and cover the edge with trim!

I think you should just do the standard semi circle that was so common on cars like this, it's the only one that would look "right" IMO.

@mike75925 - Yeah, I was tempted to leave it without paint but since the stainless wasn't exactly perfect (nor even remotely close) I decided to paint it. Since I've clearly caught the bug there will be more to come. Next one will be for me.

Since you guys asked I took some full shots today as I was doing some reassembly work. Still more progress to come (rear wheels are mounted temporarily), but at least these give you an idea of the big picture:

Semi-circle plexi glass windshield and pleather seat is on the To Do list.

As for why number 7? I had to settle the kids arguing somehow! I just picked a number that was between them in age. See the full write up on the number if you're really interested.
