yes il call it a Mo Kart

carter trail hunter w/tecumseh 10hp motor.
2seater with cage.
the build purpose is to jus have a project with my step dad and bond more(thats why we build things right? :cheers2:)
it wont be made to go fast..jus climb hills and sling mud. not for the street but in the woodline.

i bought a super mint 79 honda CB 750 F

the plan is to use the motor
rig up a clutch pedal and shifter.
use a live axle with bigger tires.
toughen up the front end suspension. taller shocks
2 bucket seats. and cut off the headrest things and bench
use actual lapbelts and seperate harnesses.
using motorcycles key start, cluster, headlight, brakes etc

here it is.

i will be using this crank

the end result is this

:biggrinjester:

grab you , enjoy

pics of bike coming soon and then disassemble

Looking good! I wonder if keeping the bike motor cradle would allow for a very simple weld job to mount it?

On a side note, I have a friend whose Droid 2 won't focus either.

for the rear axle? weld alot of plates to the very back where i can add alot of those bearings that bolt on with zerk fittings (not sure of the actual name of those)
machining the axle from scratch . not sure what diameter yet.
but the step dad has the tools to thread/tap/notch etc
then make the axle fit the bearings and then bolt those bearings to the plates.
the last axle was i beleive 1" in diameter. it bent from my torturetest plus
it only had 3 spots where it had flimsy washer/bearings bolting it on.

if the current idea sux and it bends/brakes/snaps., il have to get an s10 axle and use a driveshaft or sumthing. (no idea how that would work though)

if i would have gotten that 1100 vtwin motor that was shaft driven...i could have used a driveshaft and s10 axle or sum other kind of small axle with dif???

dude this build is awesome , and cool to see another builder in the qc area. you mentioned your hf welder took a dump on you so if you need some welding done id be more than willing to help you out . where are you planning on riding it? when my turds are done i was going to take them down to the old wheelin spot on harbor road ( south concord ), theres some holes down there that will eat fullsize trucks on 44's. maybe ill see ya on the trails down there .

thats a really cool build you got though , basically the same thing im going to do with my paddle tire cart. also i have some ideas of how to make it work with a rear axle from a small truck if you decide to go that route .
