Eh, doesn't matter. I'm just a bit bored today holmes. We use regular thread like you suggested at the shop and self locking nuts to mount our motors, works fantastic.

Coarse will be considerably stronger, to be quite frank I misread your question at front and figured it was another question of what bolt holds clutches or chain guards on the side of your motor.
