since I can't get that stupid thing to run

Well that’s embarrassing. I was going to say a V-twin Kawasaki Deere was the one to get but that’s the one you have. Neighbor picked one up cheap. Nice machine. I think the fuel pumps are finicky on those.

Yeah the ignition switch is just straight up shot for sure. And if one is available its well over $300 for it. Not worth the price to get an okay lawn tractor to run.

So this is now a thing that Harbor Freight might sell in the future.

Sounds like you are talking yourself into the 129. The snow blade alone is probably worth it if you have an engine for it already.

My wife has been on me about getting a Generac - $10k. The Pred may be the answer. I'd be fine with a much lesser generator to cover outages for the fridge and a few lights. But she's a princess and is allergic to inexpensive.

I picked up a Champion 3550w generator from Cabelas about 3 years ago for $350. Usewd a handful of times. Had no power for 3 days in July. I was able to run my entire garage power, 2 fridge/freezers, microwave, and a couple floor fans and lights. I was real surprised.

Yeah I'll probably get a minimum of a 10kw inverter, so that way I can also run a welder in the garage. Far cheaper than upgrading the breaker box and running thicker wire to the garage at this moment in time.

SEMA once again this year and Harbor Freight is showing off the new tools. Like mentioned above, they showed off the Predator whole home standby genset with a proper load transfer switch, which is huge. However, they also showed off new stuff and stuff they showed off last year. Looks like the Vulcan welder line is expanding and the 210 Titanium I was excited about, is still MIA from the stores. A lot of the new stuff that is coming is anywhere from 3 months to over a year from an actual launch.

Feels like Harbor Freight is like Palmetto State Armory at this point. Shows off new stuff, that may be released or may never be released, or shelved indefinitely.
