On a side note, got the wife a new vehicle today. She had a Compass, so she loves it. It was a demo, so the spark plug issue has been fixed. Finally something I built. lol.

Only thing that made it a turd was the leaking transaxle that took 3 visits to fix. Rubberband tires on big wheels suck as well in Michigan winters. She's not a winter driver, so big difference from the Trail Hawk Cherokee she had before.

And in other news.
A guy i know had 3 kindasucki's sitting in his yard. I asked about them.
He said he got them and can't get em to run.
Asked if I knew anyone who could work on them as he's been looking for 2 years and can't find anyone.

I sheepishly raised my hand.

He lit up.
Man, I want 2 to run and the third is for parts

I looked over the 2 better ones. Said it would only be a few hundred to go through them and make em run.

He said great I'll give you the 3rd for your labor.

We struck a deal. He pays for parts at cost and I'll take the 3rd in labor.

A few weeks of waiting for parts and 300 spent, I deliver him 2 running bayou's.

After looking this one over I might have got a great deal.
Minor damage to the plastics. Mostly fittament issues.
Need at least 2 tires. Maybe some gaskets and shaft seals. Carb kit. Oil, fuel and air filters. A battery and a seat cover.

I spent most of my day doing the new 78D Radio recall on Wranglers, Gladiators, Grand Cheorkees and Ram 1500. Least it pays decent. But screw who ever thought RRT 26-159 should only pay 0.2 to inspect the updated 2.0L Hurricane valve cover for the umbrella valve. It takes at least 0.2 just to remove the frickin PCV valve on the Grand Cherokee, then trying to feed the bore scope into the valve cover to see if the engine still has that stupid valve.

Wife's 06 escape is headed on its death spiral. She got a 19 edge. I told her I can change fluids, brakes and tires. Anything major your on your own. I had no say in the purchase. She liked it and its her money not mine.

The quads were 2 green bayous a 220 and a 250.

I got a red bayou 250.

Yeah. Engine options got weird for a while. They're having issues with the 2L Ecoboost, because of the open deck design of the block, the cylinders have a tendency to move side to side, causing the headgaskets to go bad over time. Which causes coolant to leak into the cylinders, causing a misfire.

The 3.5 V6 has an internal water pump, behind the timing cover. Because in the engineers infinite wisdom, lets put a water pump there because we didn't put enough room to have it externally mounted. So when the bearing fails, coolant will start coming out of the weep hole, right above the A/C compressor, warning you about imminent death of the engine, if not taken care of ASAP. 10-12 hour job. Timing chain, guides, and pump get replaced at the same time.
