Here's pics of my engine the problem I am having is it keeps ripping off air valve on my inner tubes I believe its caused by the torque of the engine and gear ratio I bought this kart off CL and this is the set up it came with 60t sprocket 12t clutch no TC my wheels are restricted to 4.10/3.50x4 because of the frame brake see pics any suggestions to lower the tourqe ? Also I believe the sprocket is way to close to my tire its attached with a beat double flange any suggestions?

the valve stem goes on the outside. Other than that you are going to have to clarify what exactly is happening.

Yes the air valve stem from the inner tube outside on the rim every time I ride I get a flat when I check it out the air valve is missing and there is a hole left in the tube

Sounds like you are spinning the tire on the rim thus causing the valve stem to tear. Check out how the tires are seated on the rims. The tire should not be able to move on the rim AT ALL or this will continue to happen.

Just curious, are those rims supposed to have an inner-tube installed with them. Sometimes a tire will fit and the tube will fit with it, but the tire wont seat right on the rim with the two together.

:wai: Do you have the right size/type of tube? In your picture you have a right angle valve stem, which are prone to slip, it also looks like the valve stem is not far enough in the hole. Did you clean the bead area of the rim? If nothing else, try this old trick we used to use in are midget racing days to elminate tire slip (before bead locks). Contruction adhesive on the rim bead.

Realfast ur right I believe the tire is spinning on the rim thus causing the rim hole to slip and cut the valve right off. It might be caused by the rim its pretty old and bent on the edges probably not getting the grip it needs I would put adhesive but seeing how its my only drive rim it would be a pain to remove if I blow another tire thanks for the info everyone

:wai: Yes you are right about removing the tire. With that rim in the shape that you stated. Its time to buy a new rim. But you do not glob it on, just put a nice smooth even bead on the rim. Toystory-4WD, back in the day, we did not have the fancy adhesive like the PL. I even seen some racers use panel adhesive.

:wai:toystory-4wd. Considering whats available now (bead locks), it was pretty archaic. I have even seen sheet metal screws used thru the wheel bead area into the tire. Like you stated, we had to do what we had to do. Clone, you might want to do some research on bead sealer. It might hold the tire from slipping.

Good point about bead sealer. It is just a liquid rubber and we use it at work all the time on pitted/rusty rim beads.

And as far as the rim being damaged on the edge, it wont matter if the outer edge is scraped up as long as it doesnt have big chunks missing to the point where you can see the bead of the rim, since the bead of the tire doesnt use this as a holding point. A picture would help.
