does anybody think a 440 snomobile engine will fit in a standard shifter kart chasis and will it be fast and do burnouts?

How wide is this engine? On my race kart I had to bend my seat struts to make more clearance for my 10 hp Honda motor. It still ended up hanging out the right side quite a ways. This engine had an overal width of 16"...

440's arent all that big, about as wide as maybe 2 5hp briggs max. Yes it would be fast and powerful, modern liquid 440's can put out more than 100hp, if its fan or free air it than you should still get 50-60hp (estimate).

that much power will probably result in you going completly sideways everywhere at speeds most karts on this forum cant even do, causing girly srceams from grown men.

sounds fun doesnt it ?

i dont know if it will fit but if you just happen to have a frame and a sled engine go for it!

slight surgery may be required to make it fit but anyways...

hp doesnt means ****, just remember, torque wins races and hp sells cars. hp is just a number its all about torque and gearing
