:worried2: y dose every one tell me electric in not the way to go idk i don't have the $ for gas and electric unfortunately is the futer so y not start now ??

i re calculated the stuff and it came to 238pound without me on it so


1"x1"x30'carbon steel bar 75$
1"x1"x20'carbon steel tube 50$
Mars Electric motor (4.8 kilowatts cruse (6.4 or 8.0 horsepower(15 kilowatts at a push) 498$
Alltrax programmable controller IDK yet wich one to get
four 12 volt lead-acid batteries or lithium nano-phosphate battery pack, idk yet which one to go with but the 12v acid ones 135$

(range of around 30 miles)

8.4 feet long
20-inch front wheel
26-inch wheels at the back

750watt solarpanels to charge

and one extra baterry pack of 4 more battery's


around capable of 45mph if i get the gears right

if you got bether suggestion pleas send a reply


if any one comments on gas engine pleas i know gas is bether then electric.only for sum stuff is wat i say to that

Just build it like a golf cart. they pull pretty good. and they can scoot! Or better yet why not just get a golf cart and use its motor battery controller etc..

Dude thats alot of money. I understand your probably fed up with people mentioning gas engines, but with that cash and the right deal you could probably hit 80+ mph in that cart with multiple gears. Im suggesting a street bike engine or somthing.

don't worry i got a lil gas engine in my room for back up and the way I'm building the frame i can switch the motor's easily. the golf cart was my original idea but i want a chopper so ima go with that frame =)

why not do electric...and gas!!!!

it dosent have the room the engien and all will need 2'4"x 2'10"x1'6" under the seet for the electric engien and all the electric stuff so it wont fit my small gas engien


btw culd a aluminum frame hold cuss carbon steel is tuff but heavy and if i make it well im shure it can hold cost a bit more but i think it will just have 1/3 the w8t of the carbon steel and is a on road and not off road so culd it hold ? or .100 gaje carbon steel 1" x1" ??

if i can find more lasting batteries that not to heavy or not to big i love to find um

2 Lil soloarpanel so charge one of the batteries for light's and speedometer buzz i want 4 of um just for the engine


chargers i still don't know and controller i still don't know
Throttles still don't know
Sprockets / Chain still don't know
Gauges still don't know i need one for speed light's and how much are the batteries charged

so the controller and batteries need to be good enuf

and I'm going with aluminum frame of 1"x1" at 0.126 gage hallow in side i think is going to be strong enuf Wat you guys think ?
