What is a jack shaft and how does it work?

It helps your gear ratio. it is basically your engine going to a sprocket on the jackshaft, a sproket on jackshaft going to axle...if that makes any sense.

Maybe someone can explain it better than me. But do some research!! their are tons of jackshafts and jackshaft picks all over the forum!!!!
