Sounds simple. Get the right spindle and done.
17mm is definitely an oddball size, 10, 12, and 15mm are far more common, beyond that is 1/2 and 7/8"Or you could try to retrofit a motorcycle spoked rim. I hear tell some of those Japanese bikes were full of MMs.
With regard to spindles in this slice of the world probably, but in the rest of the world, not really.17mm is definitely an oddball size
I meant as far as common use by major manufacturers (anything not Chinese) not the availability of 17mm bore bearings. With regard to spindles in this slice of the world probably, but in the rest of the world, not really.
Bearings with a 17mm bore are readily available....
Yeah, l got it. I was offering an option that may or may not be common knowledge.I meant as far as common use by major manufacturers
Why are you here?I found a fix to me problem
I found a 10" wheel that goes to a wheel chair that i am able to switch out the bearings for ones that fit a 17mm spindle
I hear Russia is looking for some good people. Maybe you should try it there for a while.I'm relatively un-American when you get down to it...
Our government is a bad joke with an absurd punchline and is also the biggest try hard bully on the planet...
Our Healthcare systems are all a scam...
Pretty much every government organized "assistance program" is a joke or a scam...
the aftercare for veterans (those guys have seen and done shıt no human should be expected to do)...
I am absolutely Not patriotic, and absolutely cannot stand those that are obnoxiously so...
I don't mind the metric system, I've adapted because with just about everything being made in China due to cheap/free labor and Lax/No regulations or QC, pretty much everything has metric hardware.
Of course hardware is the limited extent of my metric I use, get your Kph's and liters back on your own side of the planet, they're not welcome here.
Mostly I just hate needing to convert metric to imperial or imperial to metric.
If anything I have said here offends anyone, just know and understand that I couldn't possibly give a shıt any less, not even a fart.
Ran into the same problem with my kart. Their are two different measurements on the spindles I have. Anyway I bought two universal fit tires and rims from harbor freight. Not for hwy use temporary fix until I get 150 together to solve this problem. Had two 17mm bearings for the outside and had to bye two 22mm for the inside. Going back with 3 lug hub on the spindle with 13 5 on a six inch rim.Okay so I've been doing some looking and I found bearings that fit but I can't seem to find spoke rims with a 17mm bore and are between 10" to 12 inches in size..
Does anyone know if they make bicycle rims with removable bearings ? all the ones I'm finding are all for 12mm axles and I need wheels that will fit a 17mm shaft
This build just won't look right with big'ol tires in the front
Here is what I have done so far
You guys can see why I think it needs thin front tires for it

I ended up completely redoing the front end and turned the project into an off road kartRan into the same problem with my kart. Their are two different measurements on the spindles I have.
