Quad for repair payment

I had a guy stop at my house cause he is moving and is selling off stuff. Had a 2002 kawasaki klr250 for $1000 neg 600 miles on it.
And an 87 banshee quad hith a blown piston and rod. Quad needs a bunch of help. Wanted 400 neg.
Told my buddy who gets stuff that i fix and then he sells. He went and got the bike for 625. I went to do a quick look during pickup and then the guy said the quad can go for 100 bucks.
So now i gotta clean carb and replace dented tank on bike and on another bike he has rebuild carb in exchange for the quad he bought for me. All the missing parts for quad are there too. Tires have about 2 miles on them.

MLT, that is a deal! I'd be gutting it and build a mini buggy with the parts.....

The parts alone are worth a few hundred easy. I was looking in my engine shed and was thinking about making it a mix and match with motor. I have a polaris 250 with gearbox that has reverse. Probably take some modding but if it fits i just may do it.

Dang that poor banshee is rough, but for $100 it's a win no matter what. I actually own a couple banshees they are pretty fun quads even with a different engine, one of mine has a yz250 engine in it and it still has a good amount of power.

Banshees are nuts!!! For some reason they dont depreciate like ever on my local craigs. I see a motor in that banshee... Why not get it to run?
