Quad drive train into golf cart

hey guys, i got an electric golf cart that i was going to put a 25 hp kholer v-twin on because the old motor was completly ruined some how. then i got this honda 200 cc quad that i'm going to strip for the motor and trans. i'm gonna keep the quads front suspension too cuz its better than wat is on the golfcart.

use a swing arm from a atv and the axle if its wide enough if not make some type of swing arm type deal...

yea i'm using everything from the quad. and i'm gonna buy some hub spacers and some off set wheels to get it wide enough cuz it isn't off by much

id be a little worried bout the wheel spacers... mabey you can get a new rear axle thats longer?

well they make the wheel spacers specifically for off-road carts to gain stability, so i'll trust them. if i have to, i'll buy a wider axle

ok, the motor is in but not wired. heres some pics:

i also got all the front suspension out from under the golf cart and am now gettin ready to put the front suspension from the quad under it. here it is:

yea i just started to tackle the wiring, cuz obviously, the quad's harness wasn't long enough or split in the right places, i'll keep postin more pics though

those wiring harnesses can be a real *****, i have had to extend all of mine about 3 feet forward.

If you want to ***** about wiring, try working on a modern automobile electrical system sometime. You guys are complaining about dinosaur ****.

well i like my dinosaurs and i like complainin, so stupid dinosaur harnesses. its actually goin pretty good though. the hardest part is untaping the harness to split it in the right places i think

good thing your using the diff off of the quad. the diff on the golf cart is geared to 30 - 35mph max. thats gonna be a pretty cool golf cart. do you know what brand it is? ezgo, par car, club car?

well i got the front end installed, (pics will come soon) and i got it completly wired. i just need a battery and a fuel cell. im convertin a jerry can into gas tank but if i do that i need a pump, suggestions? and for brand its a melex
