I believe that a 5hp will move it, not really fast but make it go.... Albeit with a proper gearing ratio.

You're using 3" for the clutch size but it's 4".

divisor: 4; numerator: 5

Result: 1.25... up until here we're good I assume?!

I guess in the melee, things got confusing... Reading back his clutch is 4".

Now, if you need a bigger number, you have two options:
1) increase the numerator
example Jackshaft in 6" , keep your clutch pulley at 3"
Result: 6/3 = 2 (was 1.25)

well then...
6/4 = 1.5

I think I got confused by the first post (skipped back to check numbers)
