I cleaned up, examined, re-cleaned & re-painted the differential :cheers2:

After the examination, I gave 'er a couple of good wipe downs, with de-greaser
...& then, scuffed 'er up good
SAM_8981.JPG
I wiped 'er down again
...then, a final wipe down (ta remove any residue from the last wipe down)
SAM_8982.JPG
Masked off the axle shafts (ta keep 'em clean & paint free)
SAM_8983.JPG
The differential has now been Blackened ;)

While the paint was drying, I cleaned up & inspected the bearings (& bearing retainers)
SAM_9003.JPG
The bearings seals look good, they roll smoothly, no side to side "play" & made in USA
SAM_9006.JPG
...& soaked the bolts in a little bit of gasoline
SAM_9004.JPG
See that stuff is good for something :stir:

The tubes for the front tires finally arrived
SAM_9000.JPG...& got 'em installed
SAM_9002.JPG
Cleaned up the seat (front & back)
...scuffed it up
...wiped it down
...& masked off the upholstery
SAM_9046.JPG
All "freshened" up
SAM_9057.JPG
The rear rims needed some "love" too :cheers2:
...so, I cleaned, scuffed, wiped & masked them (just around the edge of the rim)
SAM_9066.JPG
...then, used a handheld "shield" (to save time & tape)
SAM_9067.JPG
All "freshened" up
SAM_9068.JPG

While the paint was drying on those accessories, I started assembling stuff on the chassis
SAM_9012.JPG
Now, with a steering wheel, the twist throttle (& left grip) aren't going to work
SAM_9016.JPG
So, I got a thumb (actuated) throttle
SAM_9019.JPG
...but, the plug (& # of wires) are different
SAM_9020.JPG
An electronic throttle only needs (3) wires
...power (5V+) usually red
...negative (-) usually black
...& a signal wire (it's green on this one but, I've seen many different colors used)
SAM_9017.JPG
The (4th) wire (blue) on the twist throttle was for the power indicator (which is full pack voltage, of course)
...but, were not going to have a power meter (we'll just insulate it & "leave it be")

Proper plug installed with the wires properly arranged/aligned
...Red to Red (power)
...Black to Black (negative)
...& Green to White (signal)
SAM_9027.JPG
We can still use the hand brake lever
...it will mount on the left steering wheel "nub"
...& just simply plugs in ;)
SAM_9018.JPG
Motor & controller are re-mounted
...& re-wired

Chain: inspected, cleaned re-lubed & re-installed

MasterLink

Chain with just a little bit of slack
SAM_9035.JPG
Adapting a cable pull to a riding lawn mower brake
SAM_9009.JPG
But, we need to put this thru a little dinky hole
SAM_9059.JPG
So, I trimmer 'er up
SAM_9061.JPG
...& then, applied a drop of Super Glue to "glue all of them little strands together
SAM_9063.JPG
After the glue dried, I pulled the cable thru the housing a bit
...& cut off a little bit
SAM_9065.JPG
...then, got the brake cable assembly, all assembled ;)

Tie rods all freshened up

I marked which end went to the right side to help simplify re-instillation

Wow! I just noticed how the sunshine really affects the color rendition on camera (the true-blue color is in my shadow) ;)

I also, got some nice looking bolts for installing the steering wheel (of course they only come in packs of 2)

I got most everything "freshened up" & re-installed

The last thing is a battery cover

Looking thru my plastic "stock" I found an old aquarium cover that may work
SAM_9073.JPG
A cut-off wheel cut it "like butter"
SAM_9074.JPG
Here is the piece (center) that I'm thinking, should work
SAM_9075.JPG
The cut-off wheel leaves a bit of "build up"
SAM_9076.JPG
...but, after cooling, that "build up", "snaps" right off (pretty cleanly) ;)
SAM_9077.JPG

Battery cover cleaned up & installed
SAM_9080.JPGEven installed the Charge Port (with cover) right on top
...so, it's easily accessible :cheers2:
SAM_9082.JPG
Don't forget the 24V 2A Charger
SAM_9115.JPG
Charger specs
SAM_9116.JPG
...& charge port

Lookin' good FA! A bonus of E-power is it's nor nearly as frightening for lil ones as gas. Make sure to put some small American flags on it since you're delivering on Independence day.
