Proposed throttle assembly and killswitch

So, I've made progress on the construction of the gokart, and have thought of a way to link the throttle cable to the wire hanger, which would be to use either a screw and nut (and fasten both together), or to buy wire crimps like these these. I would create a 'Z' bend with the wire hanger, and then connect the throttle cable to it. I don't know if this is a good idea, but it's the only one I have.

Now, regarding the killswitch, the connector looks something like a molex or tamiya connector (as attached), but I can't find the exact type that it looks like. Does anyone know this connector?

I found this just by looking up 2 port power connector there are alot of different variants of this but if you cant find the one you are looking for here you could get a different positive negative connector and replace that one.

You could probably also just cut some ports off a molex connector and use it as a replacement if you have some old pc power supplies laying around.

It's an MTD engine, off Ebay, https://www.ebay.com/itm/MTD-208cc-Horizontal-Shaft-Engine-25mm-step-x-3-45-keyed-shaft-170-NU/263991414588?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649, there's not alot of information I could find on it.

I worked on the gokart for a few hours after writing this, and I have decided to go ahead and modify the wire hanger (it probably won't work). What I'm thinking is to clamp the throttle cable to the bottom portion of the wire hanger. Until I actually test this, I don't know whether it will work in the way I'm planning, which sucks, but this is the engine I gotta deal with.

That motor is for a snow blower or tiller...
It's meant to run full out.
I'm surprised you managed to finder a shaft or fit the TC to the motor at all...

What is the throttle setup on the motor look like?...

Typically we mostly use a throttle cable, like an universal length brake cable, sought from Walmart or any bicycle shop..
It is clamped to a throttle plate lever and threaded to the pedal..

I've made several modifications to this engine due to it being intended for a snow blower, such as extending the keyway in the shaft with a dremel and removing the governer arm and gear.

The wire hanger is attached directly to the throttle/choke in the hole where the rod from the governor would usually attach. I don't have pics right now, but it is a primitive assembly.
