I know this may not make me Mr. Popular, but what I would do is get one of those oval ford air filters. Shortin the hell out of those runners going to the throttle bodies as much as possible. And use that square box thing under your original air filter. (The one you made.) The oval air filter will make it look like it belongs. No need to have it so high up being you have it out in the open and not under a hood in a closed up engine compartment.

Yeah, that was a bad design, but I needed to start somewhere. The height was necessary to clear the radiator and assorted shyt connected to the throttle bodies. The MTL design team is working on plan B, and will have a new filter arrangement soon. Some of your ideas will be incorporated in that, but FORD parts? don't know bout that!

I know I gagged a little bit typing that. Just had an even better thought. Get a filter for a 70 GTX 440 with an air grabber hood (I had one) or a 440 6PK. Those are even bigger and not ford!

Years back the wife and I took a plane from Chicago to Las Vegas for our 3 week vacation.
Rented a Chrysler T&C with the stow and go seats. Went to Walmart and got a mattress pad, pillows and blankets and just lived in the van as we toodled across the country back to Chicago.
That was a great vacation and didn't have to pay for hotel rooms.

Denny is Mr. GM, and I think Hack leans towards Ram, or Dodge or Chrysler, or Stellantis, or what ever they are currently calling themselves. l’m an equal opportunity hater. Ford lost me with the 6.0 diesel fiasco. GM lost me with the current 6.2 engine fiasco. Mopar hasn’t pissed me off yet.
