Yes, we wouldn't want the engine to be starved for oil while your foot is caught in the spokes still spinning 75 mph. Actually a pretty good safety feature. One of the few modern electronic gizmos I can give my humble consent to. As though that means anything.

True, it apparently shuts the fuel off. Looks like it feeds afew other bits of info to the ECU. Its small, i think i bedder keep this one, at least till i get it running.
I’d keep it, this way when you end up on your head you won’t get gasoline sprayed all over you and the hot engine. This way the wake and funeral can be open box instead of closed. Don’t nothin smell as bad as toasted old folk. :ROFLMAO:

It was a slow weekend here @ MTL, l needed to do some maintnance here at vast MTL campus. The weather on the left coast is getting ugly this week. we are expecting rain. Not yer average rain, but rain of biblical porportians. The weather clowns call it the pinapple express ,atmospheric river, and a few other descriptive names. Rain stretches a couple thousands of miles out in the ocean. I had to pitch in and help with preperations. The slaves refuse to leave level 498, something about ICE. I turned the heat up one degree. Then l tried to do some TIG and my torch fell apart. Despite all that BS ldid find some time to start on the radiator/fan support thingy.

The Design and engineering team started mocking up different radiator locations.
All things considered this looks like the best option.
The D&E team is accepting comments and suggestions. They rarely actually listen or act upon those comments and suggestions, but go ahead and make em anyway.

Yes the radiator is that size within an inch or two. Yeah I know the location is not ideal, but options are limited.
The text and art work on the cardboard are for the imagination challenged.
The D&E team is still exploring options. Thank you both for the opinions.
Stay tuned for other exciting developments.

Regarding the above mentioned top speed, l think l should change the gearing to make that a little more sensable.
So here’s the dilemma;
Drive tires are the same OD as the original MC tire, within an inch or two. So top speed should be within an inch or two of the donor. (Strictly mathematicaly)
The plan is to leave the gearing stock for reasons of clearance, chain and routing as well as adding a chain tensioner/adjuster thingy And the expense.
lowering the gearing enough to make a difference would involve finding a huge azz sprocket for the axle. Then the low gears (6speed) would become useless.
They only way l can figger would to be lock out one or two high gears.
I can't think of practical way to do that. So l guess some restraint will be required on the part of the operator. That'll be easy.
