DONE (basically).

Got the rear end done, throttle linkage, steering, seat, etc. Took it for a test run, ran into a few problems but its still pretty sweet. First the front suspension has no rebound, so once you hit a bump its bottomed out and stays that way, the back is a little better, sags about half way and will rebound back to there after a bump. Second the gear ratio is WAY to high, 6:1 with a crappy tecumseh and 21" tires haha, my clutch got red hot after no more than 4 minutes of cruising full throttle.

Took 5 days from start to finish, cost Less than $10 (bought 4 cuttoff wheels and only used one) so like $2.19.

awesome cable splice job

Awesome! As for the front suspension issue, you needed to mount the shocks more perpendicular to the ground, and you mounted them further parallel to the ground.

I figured moving them out further on the a-arm would reduce leverage from the tire? I guess i know what i have to do now, kinda dont feel like doing it. I might just scrounge up a couple extra shocks and double up.

Only the greatest creations come from my workshop lol. Another funny story, i made the thing too wide to fit out my door, i had to lift it up and turn it on its side to get it out, and as i did a tire fell off lol.

The only problem with moving them out further like you did is when the arm cycles, instead of compressing the shock, it just levers it around a bit. With it parallel to the arm it wants to act like an upper a arm, but there aren't enough pivots for that to happen, so it locks.

Yea, i feel kinda dumb now, i wasnt really thinking about it before, now it seems so obvious haha so i guess i gotta re-do the shock mounts, i think i'll figure out my gearing/clutch issues first tho.
