Here are the craigslist pics, I picked it up for $125 with no engine, it was removed the day before I bought it, kart drove fine according to previous owner. I plan on replacing most everything and painting etc. Looking forward to getting started! Does anybody know any details on this kart? Possible manufacturer etc?

Thanks.

The kits that I looked at that we're complete minus engine that would end up very similar to this when finished were $500-$800 with no motor.

Everything will be replaced. How are they on wrong, I'm here to learn.

Just switch them....put the left one on the right.....ect....

EDIT: And condolences on your move.....at least it's not New York or California....lol....

Double edit: BTW: Your title should read "Project for 9 yr. old and me".....It's a common mistake...to get it right every time....just remember to remove the other person and see if it's right...."Project for I "isn't.....

Take yer time and ask any questions and do it right the 1st time!

As far as no motor.. Harbor Freight is always selling 6.5 hp predators for cheap..

The abbreviation for etcetera is “etc" not “ect".

I do miss Texas but it really isn't that bad here, like anywhere it is what you make of it. I have introduced a lot people to brisket here and they love it!

Thanks for the pedal observation, that is the type of thing I came here for.

I've got it disassembled to the frame, sanding paint now, multiple layers of paint. Pedals and most other parts in trash can. Have a few questions but will ask when I'm not posting after a 12 pack. In short, the steering wheel has been welded to the steering shaft and the rear axle has a nasty weld due to a crack/break. I'd like to relocate engine and convert to live axle. I'll post pics and ask questions tomorrow.

Ok, now go out to the trash can and get those pedals back and please put them on the correct way and then all will be right with the world. Never throw anything away until you are all done with the project. :censored:

:iagree: keep everything till you are done, and even then you might want to keep some of the parts , never know might need them for another project or a friend might need them.

Political banter :toetap05: other non topical chit chat, grammar lessons & put downs aside, I think you did ok, just be aware it'll probably cost you at least twice what you paid for it before it's finished
