I'd like to see a video of the Amex with the torque converter on it. I'm curious what the take off is like. Do you still have the governor on the engine?

Thats the driven clutch engaging and disengaging. The whole TC system needs to be taken apart and cleaned. As it sits they're barn fresh. There's also some surface rust on the belt mating surfaces that I need to sand/buff smooth.

Nice! I'm getting ready to buy a tc, just not sure what I want to put it on. I don't have many offroad place to ride so was thinking about putting it on the street dingo for a little added riding experience. Think I am going to go ride mine now, it's been awhile!

Big update coming. In the middle of a 14-day blitz build on the AmEx. I have our club's annual ride this weekend. Teardown, sandblasting, framework, new brakes, rebuilt TAV, new wheels, tires, hubs, axle and brake brackets, a re-paint, and about a million other things I've wanted to do while it's torn apart. Thanks folks. The graphic is a cut-vinyl design I did to roughly match the original American Express font. A past customer of my mine does sign work out of his garage. He produced that in 30 minutes on a Saturday morning for me.
