Yeah I redid steering this morning I'll try to get some pictures and see if it still looks wrong I tried to hold about 10° in towards the stub axle and about 7° back on each side but was hard to do with out a proper gauge and a way to hold the pieces whileI welded.

Welded on a 5/8 piece of tubing to fit my steering shaft for a little smoother bind free turning

What are your ideas on front brakes? I've only got to test my shifter kart out twice and I'm beginning to have second thoughts about not doing front brakes..

Did you line them up using the rear axle? I could've shown you an easy way to cut them so you didn't have to try to hold the pieces, you were too quick for me :roflol:

I'm hoping to upgrade to front brakes down the road, I did think about doing dual hydraulic disc brakes in the rear. Yeah it had to be alot better than my method, I tried to clamp them but there just wasn't any way to get them to grip. Haha sorry about that most of these posts are off my cell phone.

Finally got all the steering fixed and installed. Still gotta adjust some on the tie rods to get them dialed in. also I've gotta finish the front bumper and install the pedals

Yeah i'm hoping to get a motor in it soon so I can see where to mount it, and where I can run all the bracing. I know if I don't wait I'll be cutting it all out and doing it again anyways haha :auto:

Speaking of motor I have been eye balling a 1994 ninja zx6 a guys wanting to sell hoping maybe to settle on price this week (gonna be in Florida all of next) so won't be able to accomplish any work

Yeah I think soon as I get back from vacation i'm going to start working on finishing the front and getting the pedals installed. Saving up to buy a motor, from what I can tell its almost more reasonable to just buy a 400ex four Wheeler outright than just a motor and use what I need then part it out. I'm really waiting on the motor to go in before I start bracing everything so I can basically build the frame around the motor.

Not sure where you'd get them (I'm in Australia) but there are 2 types AFAIA. One type has grub screws & the other is a clamp type (like a bicycle seat pole clamp)
