What you have got to do is tell us what TC you have. If it has a backplate (Comet 20 or 30 series) you will just need to get the correct belt for it. If you do not have a backplate (like a 40 series comet) then you need to measure the distance centre to centre between the driver and driven, and then buy the appropriate belt

Ok, The TC is a TAV 30 TC. The belt is correct, it's brand new. The clutch is a LITTLE bit too tight. This must be due to the shop i took it to.
Are you sure you have the right belt? Have you got a backplate?

)I'll take a picture. I mean the two pieces that are pulled together when the gas pedal is pressed to make the go kart speed up. It's already touching the belt instead of letting it spin. This is definitely the issue. The belt is exactly like my old one, which never had this problem. (I'm thinking the people at the shop did this)
Take a pic, but if you think the kart shop is the problem, I would take it back and tell them that it is not working after you got it back from them

Are you sure that the belt is the same? Does it have the same number? Yours says 12-8487. Did your old one have the same number. This belt is meant for a 6" driven with a center to center distance of 6-15/16 to 7". Is yours this distance, or is it something else?

No, I don't think so. If it is on a backplate, you can only install the driven and driver one way. They cannot be closer or further away from each other. That is what the backplate is for. It maintains a predetermined distance between the two. Could you take a pic of the driver and driven in the same pic from the side and the top?
On the driver (on the engine) look where the belt rides. Is there a bushing on the driver shaft, or is the belt riding right on the shaft?
I have no personal experience with CVTs but, to me, that belt looks too tight
The belt should probably have more slack than what you have at the moment.
