Not sure if this will apply but i know a lot of smaller brake systems have to be reverse filled. They sell a kit at small engine places and most auto part stores. You fill from the caliper back to the reservoir and in small brakeing systems this will void any air. Had to do this in some dirtbikes and things ive had over the years. Hope it helps

Looks like that screw next to the hose quite possibly was where a bleeder screw is suppose to be

I'll second that. Those hex head screws are in the logical location for the bleeder screws. I don't know if a previous owner buggered them up and just put screws in there, or if it's some weird, chinese, low-dollar shortcut, but I think that's it. Best to pull those, and see if there's a conical seat in the hole, and if the hole leads directly into the cylinder. I bet it does.

You'll then want to see about getting some replacement bleeder screws. You can also try this-

It'll be messy as he//, but have some rags handy. Tip, jack, or angle the kart so the master cylinder is just higher than the caliper. It might even be easier to unbolt it and temporarily attach (zipties?) it to a holding fixture, and remove the cover. Fill the reservoir. Remove one "bleeder screw", and let it gravity bleed. If needed, put your finger over the hole and top up the fluid. This may be quite slow. When ready, fire that screw back in, and repeat for the other side.

Gravity bleeding does not always seem to work, but may be worth the shot.

:iagree:

steinh,
My 1999 Beisse B1 racekart has a caliper just like yours, It also has bleeder screws instead of conventional bleeder fittings. I ended up reverse-filling/power bleeding mine like Provff26 posted.

I made my own power bleeder for free using a plastic nipple-cap from a quart sized bottle of gear lube, I simply screwed that cap onto my plastic bottle of brake fluid. My nipple-caps threads fit a little loose, so I tightened a hose clamp around the cap for a better seal.

Then I removed the bleeder screws (one at a time) and inserted the nipple cap into the calipers bleeder port hole. Then I simply squeezed the bottle to force brake fluid through the caliper and lines until it ran clear & clean out of the master cylinders fill hole. Then quickly reinstall/tighten that bleeder screw and repeated the whole process through the other side of the caliper
