Hey, all you folks that shop Princess Auto- Just wanted to let you know of a welder worth looking at for beginners. On sale from now 'till *Aug 16th, it's as follows-
"Flux core welder
120 volt, 60HZ
Duty Cycle 90 Amps @ 105, 65 Amps @ 20%
Input: 20 amps
Flux Core only
2 heat settings, variable wire speed, and live wire trigger
Automatic thermal shutdown protection
$149.99 ($50.00 off) 8209686"
Now I know those of us with more than a few beads under our belts will have many varying opinions, good and bad. I am presenting it here as a viable option for newbies, and those on tighter budgets for a few reasons-
*120 volt household, plug-it-in power, at worst, you might want to install a 20 amp fuse or breaker (I know on the Lincolns, it's helpful, but not mandatory)
*FCAW is arguably the easiest process to learn, and master
*output power of this machine should be plenty for pretty much everything short of a full-on dunebuggy
*better results and useability (BASED ON EXPERIENCE) than a stick machine in similar price range.
Argue for or against, or whatever, I thought this was worth mentioning.
Cheers, y'all ! Chris
