5 w-30 should be fine.
There's normally a lot of metal flakes upon initial break in. At least I think. On an already broken in engine...??? Probably not normal, but I don't think the oil caused it, unless there's too little.

Should i just change it more often once i get my new clutch, i noticed there is only metal dust in the crank case

The motor was never properly broken in because it was a pressure washer and ran at full rpm all the time.

Would changeing the oil more often help the problem resolve itself.

Changing the oil more often will never put the metal back where it came from.

That said, it would delay whatever is wearing down. Metal in your oil acts as an abrasive, wearing down parts faster.

Seeing some sparkle in the oil is pretty normal, especially on an engine that has no oil filtration system. Are you talking about a faint sparkle in the sunlight, or is this like flakes of glitter or worse?

Au contraire mon frère, there is an oil filtration system--it is the engine user changing the oil on a regular basis.

To wit:
"Change oil after first two hours of operation and every 25 hours thereafter. Under extremely dusty conditions, change oil more often."

~Stolen from a Briggs & Stratton engine label, but as good as any.

Doesn't appear that this was ever adhered to in the thread subject engine. That one might be toast.:rolleyes:
