We having been looking for sometime and decided to make our go-kart. I saw a predator 420cc (14HP) today and thinking in the design we want to make this would be a good fit.

I have seen some response and chatter on the 212cc. Any good, bad or ugly on the 420cc. I saw a electric start on the side of this engine. Being a officially newbie on this serious subject. I only assume you need a small golfcart battery, if so how does it get charged.

The other question is wheel, hub, axles and spindles. Can someone point me to a crash reading 101 on what I would consider, ordering and do nots and do?

For the first part of your post....the engine charges the battery...just like in your car.....

For the second part no.....it's like asking someone to read you a set of encyclopedias....you need to do some research on your own and ask less generalized questions....

Welcome to the forum!! Just keep in the back of your mind that a 420cc will need a comet 40 series torque converter or a 1" centrifugal clutch (that is pretty expensive)
