Hey guys I know its been a while,

My question was: How much weight will a predator 212 push if the gear ratio is 12:45 (I know someone is going to correct me on whatever mistake i made there). If you need to know, I want to be able to go at least 23 MPH. (u guys are going to say something like, "isn't that a bit fast son?') Well I hope I provided enough info!

Thnx,
A little kid

I assume you mean 12 teeth on clutch and 45 teeth on driven sprocket?
That would make your ratio 3.75:1.
Way too high to push anything. Clutch will be severely overloaded.
Typically, ratio should be 5 or 6:1 with ~11" diameter tires.

My brother in law is 288 lbs riding a old heavy Rebel cart with a 6.5 Honda (basically same as the 212 Predator motor) with basic mods (filter, jet, header pipe) and he is running a 12/60 T count and the 11" tires. He doesn't beat any one out of the hole but he doesn't have to push start :roflol: and he isn't smoking the clutch so he is pretty happy with it. I guess my point is you won't have any trouble using the 12/72 OR 12/60 on yours as well. Anything lower than a 60T count sprocket and your just going to ruin clutches every 5 minutes.
