Havin a rough time getting my predator 6.5 to run with the choke off. It is a pain to start and when it finally does start it only runs on choke. I can give it a little throttle and it will come up and start sputtering like normal but as soon as I take it off choke it dies. Here is a video and pic of the plug that shows it's running rish as sh!t. It has an aftermarket air filter but stock exhaust, stock jet to my knowleadge. I am thinking I just need to clean the carburetor again... Any other ideas though?

Is the carb leaking air? I had a predator doing that and found out that the carb wasn't sealed against the manifold. Fixed that and it ran perfect.

X2, I've had that issue often with the newer "laid-over-cylinder" engines. Seems the carb likes to get hung up on the sheetmetal air ducting.

Well... I think I found the problem... And I'm kinda pissed. I bought this off a guy on craigslist. As I said, it started and ran before but I knew it wasn't right. However, it did fire the first pull when I bought it from him in my defense. Anyway, the plastic piece that the carb bolts to was cracked. And I know he did it because the nuts were **** near stripped out when I got to it and they didn't look quite right. For now I tried repairing it with the right stuff silicone until I can replace it. Anyone know where to buy one of these?

No, you havent. What you have linked is just a spacer, and you don't have a fuel pump (as far as I know). The plastic part that is cracked is called a carb insulator, and has little channels cut into it to facilitate air flow.

Do a google search for "carb insulator" and you will get what you need. They are really cheap

Actually I DO have a fuel pump and I DID search for carb insulator and that is what came up in a thread on omb I believe.

There was another thread on 4cyclekarting that I can't seem to locate at the moment but I did find it last night.
arc has them for 2.50 though

HOwever, from what I have found, that "channel" is just a vent for the bowl. if you look at it, it goes straight out to atmosphere anyway, which is what almost makes me think I have another problem because if it goes to atmosphere anyway, I don't understand why a crack would hurt it...
