My neighbor has a predator mini chopper with a 50cc two stroke engine, he wants to swap it out for a 212cc. I believe he has a rear sprocket with 25 pitch chain, can he get a sprocket that will bolt to his hub that has 35 pitch? I know that we will have to use a jackshaft or flip the wheel and brake to the other side.I have searched and seen other people mention this issue, but haven’t seen much about a sprocket other than re drilling one that has the correct pitch, I really would prefer to not re drill.

We kinda need pics for this....
If this is the typical china chopper... then no there isnt any direct swap out there...
The china motors us the #25 as this will give a good ratio for the given tire size, which is about 10" or so.....
A #35 is much bigger so the given sprocket will give maybe an inch of ground clearance...
So a jackshaft would be needed, if there is any space to begin with....

Yup, we will need pics for this one. Are you asking about getting a #35 with the same bolt pattern?? If so, then all there is to do is google. Pics will help us out though, as we don't really know what this chopper looks like

my Chinese chopper had a #35 60t sprocket. It was bolted to a smaller one. I took it out and slapped in a sprocket and 110cc off an old quad I had. went with 420 chain.

I’m going to just drill new holes in a 60 tooth #35 sprocket. I asked here because I’ve seen several builds that had engine swaps and thought there might be a sprocket that bolted to the existing hub that was #35.thanks for posting!

Tell your neighbor to join the forum, we don't bite, I mean over and over again. Just once and maybe a few times later for punctuation and grammar. :D

And tell him to post pics. I wanna see this bike.
