I have the Predator Hemi 6.5hp and am looking for a .022 pilot jet for it. I cant find one that says it will necessarily fit the carb on the Predator. Is there a name brand carb & size etc. that I can reference when I want to look up parts for it. If someone can direct me to a link for the pilot jet that would be very helpful also. Thanks.

ARC racing sells them the part # is DJ-1241R, you can choose the size from the drop down box,but it's best if you can find a micro drill bit set and drill your own...

Pilot jet for Predator

I have been looking for a .022 pilot jet for my Predator 6.5hp but can't find one that says that it will fit the predator specifically. Is there a name brand that is comparable to the predator that I can reference to, maybe Mikuni? If someone can post a link to a .022 that will fit, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

It's based off the carburetor not the engine branding name.............

If you post a picture of your carburetor or what is written on the side I can tell you the right one. It is either gonna say ruixing or something else.

Sorry for double post guys, newbie hard at work here... lol. Thanks so much for the part number. Was wondering if drilling them yourself was worth the risk of ovaling the hole vs. buying one. think I will buy one first so I know its good for sure and learn how the engine should run, then play with drilling my own.

That part won't work unless it's the correct brand carburetor. If your carb says ruixing on the side then it wil work.

I looked at the carb and it only says "SP" on it along with a bunch of numbers. I removed the pilot jet to see what it looks like and it looks identical to the one as the part number that Deano gave.

Drill bits come in sets labeled as either fractional, number, letter, metric, and sometimes as a decimal. There is a small numbered set that goes from #61-#80. We use these to drill jets. You'd have to look up the decimal equivalent of the # (numbered) size drill bits. Then you can go one size bigger than stock on the main jet (or you could use the drill bits as a gauge just don't force it) and work your way up till you're happy with how it runs. People usually end up with a main jet drilled somewhere around .037-.039" Some dont bother drilling the pilot but some go as high as .022 on those. I don't remember what mine is drilled to. The e tube also plays a factor here.
