holy crap 11:1?

Id call them to make sure you get the right connecting rod though as it "fits" three of them. Thats a snazzy piston though, and if you can keep the stock headgasket with the correct piston to head clearance, you wont even have to worry about cutting chromemoly rods to length, they would just fit at stock length!

I'd have to run premium in my kart...
What kind of HP do you think you could get with that? It looks like you'd probably have to use the stock head, I don't think a 14 cc head or a welded head would fit the dome.

I might have to consider that one.

I am thinking that it will be a good upgrade. If I use this piston, Hemi head and a black Mamba Jr cam I should have a pretty stout running motor.

That's exactly my setup! I'm still waiting on my piston, it's been a week. I think I'm going to stud the head and sidecover while I'm at it.

I emailed and here is the response.

Hello Matt,

We are expecting to be restocked with these pistons by end of this week. We just missed the anticipated demand for these pistons. Sorry about that, but we are working hard to get them back in stock.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I have it installed, put some clay in the valve pockets and it looks good. I just don't know which piston rings goes on top, one looks cast and the other looks copper coated. I need to get the right socket for the rod bolts, but I should have it back together this weekend.

I have to go to Sears to get the socket.

Iirc the ring gaps were around 0.015" for the compression rings, and the oil rings were considerably larger.

I've got the piston in the bore already, but I looked at the stock one and installed the rings the same way. Iirc the cast looking ring was on top, so that's how I installed the new ones.
