I have tried to search and I know there is a picture of at least one kart that has moved its tank off of the engine due to clearance issues. I for the life of me cannot find it. I need to move my fuel tank and am trying to get an idea for a bracket to hang the tank off of the back of my seat frame. Any help would be appreciated.

I think I have came up with an idea. It will have to wait til tomorrow though. I don't wanna have to cut and re weld the motor mount if I don't have to

I had the same problem. I needed to slide the engine tward the seat to tighten the chain but it hit the seat. I ended up making shims to move the engine up instead of back to gain clearance.

I had the same problem, eventually went to a floor tank & fuel pump but before I did that I used the adapter plate from promodraceparts.com. It worked fine.

Here's a pic of my setup to give you an idea of where to put it. I'm using the 212 Predator.

Ok I had a couple pieces of cheap Chinese aluminum from some cold air intake piping that I bent to make a Z bracket for the front of the tank and another piece if aluminum for a bracket in the rear. I mounted it to where the seam of the tank is above the top of the seat frame. I also turned the exhaust pipe down and rotated the muffler upwards to get the exhaust away from the tank without blowing the exhaust towards me. I ran out of good light and only have my cell phone to take pics with so I will have to take pictures tomorrow evening. Now I need to make a seat, get inner tubes and good tires and make a seat, and wait for my brake band to arrive in the mail

As long as the tank is above the engine you are all good...
