predator engine mount plate for a Briggs engine?

I have a 6.5hp Briggs and two 8hp Briggs all three engines have the same mounting bolt pattern. I have been reading up and I’m seeing people say that a predator 212 is a direct swap for a Briggs 6.5hp? Can I purchase a long slotted engine mount for a predator from eBay bolt it to my Briggs and use the predator mount to fit the Briggs on my kart?

If they are the same then the question becomes why not? You answered it yourself. But I think the 8 hp has a bigger footprint. I have slept a few days though since I plastic played with one.
