just purchased the Azusa mini bike kit. purchased the predator 212 engine for this build. The problem is with the engine in place , the gas cap can't be removed . it sits right under the frame. Is there a replacement fuel tank for this engine ? Or is there another engine that works better with this kit ? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

You could also mount the tank in another location

I'm not too sure exactly the specs of the azusa frame however from pictures it looks similar to my doodlebug.
I have a predator in my bug and yes the fuel cap is also under the top frame bars. However, there is a couple inches of clearance to remove the cap. I use a funnel inserted into the tank through the gap in the top frame bars to fill my gas tank.

Some people have bent the frame a bit for clearance. I would just cut and reweld a new piece(s) in to raise the height needed. Or as it has been said, relocate the tank.

Azusa build update

Ok so I called Harbor Freight and order the fuel tank from the early predator engine. This tank has the cap offset to the right. I bolted it on and it fit perfectly.
Next I welded on a kickstand bracket , plates for front and rear fenders and a foot rest .
Then the frame was primed and sprayed with 3 coats of Sherwin Williams 4th Dimension (their economy brand ) Royal Purple and 4 coats of their clear.
That's where I am with the Build , this weekend I will mount the engine and finish assembling everything else.
here are some pics.

Throttle to accelerate and the thing did a whellie !
Scared the crap out of me ! My neighbor was laughing his behind off.
The predator 212 is too much for this bike . ( but I like it)
Maube I'll fab up some whellie bars.
