Predator 8hp performance???

I'm pretty darn sure that I'm going to buy and throw a predator on my kart there's just one problem, I do not want stock. I want performance! Help, I'm stuck in a rabbit hole!

And I'm not seeing much for that 301. It's still new to the predator line up and I'm not sure if it's the same as the 390 or 420s as far as parts swapping.
I got my to replace a briggs 9hp. Only due to the fact it was the cheapest 1" drive and was close to what I was replacing. I really wanted the 420 or even step up to a v-twin but I don't have that kind of loot.

If you do find stuff for the 301 keep me informed.

Why would you want to mod an 8 hp engine, when there's all kinds of stuff out there to take a 6.5 to the moon?

I bought a 301 and put a stage one kit on it. Filter, jet & header. Worked out nicely!
