Predator 420cc Clutch or torque converter?

Hello First post here. I’m looking for some help on my project. I am building an engine for my Shriners trike. I am going to get the 420cc harbor freight special, but unsure what to use for a clutch. Let me preface by saying I am a 320lbs guy, and these take some abuse. We are constantly stop and go and running on 2 wheels.

It currently has a 5hp techemse power sport with a comet tav2 converter and I am forever burning belts and it’s just underpowered for me.

A clutch won’t last long I’d say if it’s heavy.
I’d use a tav to be honest.
Or look into a comet 780 setup
