This is my first engine I am building with billet parts I am not sure if the rod or my crankshaft is up to spec. I tested with a plastigauge and had 0.003 clearance and I have torqued the rod down exactly as ARC recommended.
The problem (I think problem could be nothing) I am having is the rod has a slight side to side movement on the crankshaft itself, it is not very big and nothing is hitting while the I rotate the engine. I am attaching the video for reference.
This is a brand new 420cc that I basically ran log enough to make sure everything works before I took it apart. The rod is brand new from GoPower Sports and as far as I can tell everything has been installed correctly from the various youtube videos I have watched.
Should I worry about this, and if so how can this be fixed or does this require a new rod or crankshaft.
Thanks.
