Predator 420 governor removal - How???

See title. There are no youtube videos that show how. I have a governor on the engine cover. Thanks.

that's just an arm. I already removed that. is that all I have to do?

this is what mine looks like. It was just a tease though, as no video actually exists.

doesn't pul off with a huge amount of force. not sure what engine you have. this is a predator 420.


anyone know how to actually work on these things? How come no writeup or how-to??? am I the only one with this engine that thought to remove governor?>>?

I took the engine apart because everyone is an expert and says its easy and theres tons of videos. now I find out all of that is false and I have a disassembled engine. appreciate it!

There are clips in the plastic gear you have to get out. Have a face mask or safety glasses on because those things could fly into your eyes.

Dab some cheez wiz on the gear the lactic acid will desolve the clip.

Couldn't you just melt the gears off with a torch?

I'd use the oxy. acyt. torch for that and heat up a large area to get that gear to melt uniformly
