I'm in the process of sourcing parts for a 420 swap into my Manco 906C cart and have a couple questions on cams. Which would be better for an offroad cart the .275 or the .308? I am looking at the stage 2 kit from GoPowersports as seen here http://www.gopowersports.com/420cc-predator-stage-2-performance-kit/ and am curious which would work best in a heavy offroad cart that sees a fair amount of WOT.
Cart in question. My son is 5'6".

Alright I reread the post, deleted the first answer, and decided you should sell the 420cc and get a 460cc instead.

That's an expensive flywheel for an engine that if build properly (for your use) will not spin over 5000 or 6000 RPM.

Or if you keep the 420, then I'd do something like this...

I can tell you that Ive spent nearly 20hrs a week since September, R&Ding these 420s and have gone from a stock 420 to a completely built 440 and pretty much every combination in-between.

With regards to bang for buck, a 420 clone with the following mods will make 20-22hp and doesnt need a billet rod:

-Timing Key
-Ported & Milled Head
-28-32mm ATV/Motocycle Carb
-Header & Free Flowing Exhaust
-HD ValveSprings

Can be done for $400 including the engine.
