Hello everybody,

I have decided i wanted to do some modifications to my predator engine. I saw on OMB's website a jet kit with emulsion tube I wanted plus an angled air filter with adapter. I also saw the MOD 1 kit that came with the jet and emulsion tube, angled air filter, and a exhaust with screw on muffler.

Do you recommend a screw on muffler? Or can you get away with just an exhaust tube? Not really sure how this stuff works. If i don't need the muffler, I would get something badass like this ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Bike-D...853?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f48221d05 )

Here is what the MOD 1 kit comes with ( http://www.ombwarehouse.com/Predator-212cc-Go-Kart-Kit-Stage-1-Hemi.html )

You don't need the muffler. That is for people who don't want it so loud. Most of us on here are running straight pipe, but again its the owner's choice. That kit is fine but if you are going to buy a header some where else, it might be cheaper to just buy the filter and jets etc... some where else instead of a kit. ARC, Dover Power, etc are also good places for parts.

I can get the jets with emulsion and air filter with adapter for 41$ on OMB before shipping. Seems about the same on Arcs website (and doesn't seem to sell an adapter for predator)

Hello everybody,
I just got my Arced air filter in today for my predator 212cc engine, and I need some help installing it. I have the HEMI model and it has a line running from the gas tank to, i believe, the big boxed labeled "HEMI". This is all ran through the current air filter box. Once i remove it an replace it with my arced one, what do I do with the loose line/cable? It hooks into the plastic box housing the air filter through a loose fit (like a pencil going into a straw). And then it connects somewhere else in there and reconnects again going to a line on top of the engine. What do I do?:auto:

Just zip tie it out of the way. It's a breather for the gas tank. Part of epa crap. Let's fumes go back into motor. Not needed.

So zip tie the part coming out of the tank AND the part coming out of the HEMI box?

By hemi box, it also has OHV right? If so then yes. That's the crank case breather. Zip tie it as well but don't crimp it shut. Motor has to breath.

It doesn't say OHv but I believe it is the OHV box. So I can keep that one open/partially open and I can seal the tank one pretty much as tight as I can?

I think were confusing each other so let me start over. Pull the factory black air filter and black plastic box off and throw it over your shoulder. Then put your new adapter and filter on the engine and tighten it down. This should leave you with two loose hoses right? One from the top of the tank, and one coming out of the valve cover (in your picture its silver and has OHV stamped on it).Take both of them and zip tie them out of the way where they can breath with out getting crimped shut. Some people put small breather air filters on them for looks but thats not needed. I put a longer hose on mine and ran it down to the cart frame and then zip tied it.

If I am missing what your talking about post better pics showing exactly what your talking about and we can re visit this. :cheers2:

I believe you just took care of it for me! Just zip tie them but not super tight, we still want some breathing. Sounds good! (Point of zip tie is to just get them out of the way)

I just changed the jets in my predator (and emulsion tube) and now my kart will only start on Run. If I have it in (start) choke, it won't crank up. Why is this?

So it will start and run fine without using choke?

Have you already placed exhaust and air filter on this engine as well?

It has the air filter and exhaust on it. Clear that up. Just not my new one yet. It does have those parts on it still (original air filter and exhaust)
