Working on a new project and got a brand new predator 212 motor. I've had other projects with upgraded predators on them but never go the chance to build a predator myself. I have been reading a lot on them and know a good amount about the engines.

I came across the ARC DJ-1024 Builder Prepared Parts Kit:
Kit includes:
•DJ-114X ARC top plate/throttle hookup(Choose Engine Type)
•6934 ARC billet air filter adaptor
•DJ-1257 Choke hold
•Fuel Pump
•6877 Pulse inlet fitting
•6899 Angled air filter
•5' fuel hose
•DJ-1420 Chain guard/heat shield
•18-930HJ Header, muffler and clamp
•DJ-1056 Valve Springs
•ARC Billet Connecting Rod with bearing inserts
•ARC SFI Certified Billet Flywheel (spec)
•DJ-1103 BP-2 Cam (DJ-1111 on Pred Hemi)
•DJ-2227 .625 Gas Carb(call for methanol)
•DJ-2120 Intake Valve (N/A on Pred Hemi and Gen 3)
•DJ-2125 Exhaust Valve (N/A on Pred Hemi and Gen 3)

Has anybody bought this before and opinions on it?

Thanks,

I'd buy it if I could afford it. But it looks to be a complete overhaul set, which is pretty neat. I'd LOVE to get one of those and make a race engine.

From what I've heard, the ARC parts are the ones to get.

Its $450 for the kit. Which isn't to bad if you think about all the stuff it comes with. Performance wise its probably a little more than what I need for the project I'm working on, but it seems to be a good overall set.

Do you know what connecting rod is included. I'm guessing ARC6254????

$450 ouch... Thats much more than we pay for the motor itself. It will be nice to know what
difference people see after the upgrade.

I'll pm you an address so you can send me the kit to test out instead of risking your perfectly fine $99 engine.

People have basically used all those parts before (and possibly one member that RXACT package kit IIRC).... but....for sure people have used the ARC products with very satisfactory results....

And no....it's not even a little bit silly to spend a few hundred on a $99 engine....to put it perspective....a factory replacement car engine can cost a couple of grand...but folks will spend 10 grand to build a race engine that may not even last for ONE QUARTER MILE!

Been there and done that and had the broken pieces for a long time to prove it!
