Trying to help SquidBonez find out if his 50 psi compression on his 212 is acceptable. It's a stage 2 mod. motor, and he may have some hi-perf upgrades to compression, but for now just wondering what stock compression should be.
Also, if anybody knows what that compression should be if upgraded with .020" over stock length rod and .012" head gasket, that would help me out personally. Also curious personally what that would do on increasing the ratio from the stock 8.1:1 they come with.

Thank you for going out of you way and trying to help me here. Forgot that my engine has a MOD2 cam which does have a compression release. I'm afraid KartFab is right.

OEM cam comes that way too. Use a rubber-nippled psi compression gauge with a max compression indicator needle (or fancy electronic?) and hold it tight into the spark plug hole. Have somebody pull the rope a couple of times, see what you get. I've used those things for half a century.
