Predator 212 BMX

I’m new to the forum but I’ve read a few posts before creating an account. I want to make a bmx motorized bike with and predator 212 engine in it. I was thinking about putting a live axle on the rear and lowering it to make a trike. However, I need some help. Thanks ahead!

Welcome to the forum!! So you basically want to make a trike using a bmx. There have been a few builds like that over the years. First off, do a search for "drift trike" on the forum. That will give you a good head start

hmm...
I have an engine alike (true clone though) in the basement right next to my old BMX..
I frankly have no idea how you'd want to fit such engine onto such bike...

once you cut upper and lower tube to make room for it,
you end up with a frame the size of an MTB ..

so why not start there in the first place?
(you'd still need to cut and reweld, but at least the seat tube is long enough already)

Thanks. I may just cut the top part of the frame off and try to fabricate some sort of other frame and but MTB shocks on it so it’s not such a rough ride. My welding skills are bad but getting better. Also I’m taking an engineering class in Highschool this year so that may help me out.

a live axle trike is a bad idea tbh
especially since I smell a raked fork for some reason..

SOOO IF you want to make it a trike, either make a drift trike or find a peerless100 axle
(smallest differential I know) in order to have a fighting chance to go around a corner

I still say you'd be better off cutting an MTB than a BMX, but hey.. whatever you feel like
