Predator 212 backfired now wont start

I just bought a predator yesterday started it and let it run for 10 minutes turned it off then went to start it the next day and it backfired and won't start

In a perfect world, yes. But another part of the engine would seem to be faulty--who's to say the oil sensor even works?
